The Vision
In the early 1990s, Prophet Blessing Chiza received his divine calling through a vision — a massive eagle angel with a white head and tail descended and landed on a classroom rooftop during a conference. That encounter became the bedrock of everything: the church's name, its iconic eagle logo, and its rallying cry: "We fly high like eagles!"
Eagle Life Assembly (ELA) is a mega-church in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, founded on 11 January 2011 and led by Bishop Prophet Dr. B.S. Chiza and Prophetess Shemariah Chiza. Part of the Faith In God (FIG) Ministries International — founded in 1999 by Archbishop Dr. Asa Gurupira — ELA has grown in just 15 years into one of the most recognised and celebrated ministries in Bulawayo, defined by a culture of Mega Excellence.
Today, ELA stands as a Prophetic, Healing & Deliverance Centre — celebrated across Zimbabwe for its focus on prophetic direction, supernatural healing, and freedom from every bondage. Our iconic facility, immediately recognisable by its massive blue roof, seats thousands and is adorned with international flags that speak to the global reach of this ministry. Services draw large crowds seeking the miraculous, with the Breakthrough Power Conference and vibrant Arts & Worship programmes as hallmarks of our excellence.
Our mission is to see God's people living the life He designed for them — walking in divine purpose and experiencing total restoration. We are a people anchored in Isaiah 40:31: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles."

To become a centre for prophetic direction, deliverance and healing — a place where God speaks, chains break and bodies are made whole.
To raise up Eagle-type business people; billionaires, trillionaires and Kingdom financiers who do business in deep waters — funding God's agenda on the earth.
To build a state-of-the-art, 50,000-seater church auditorium and other palatial structures which shall serve various purposes on our 10,000 m² God-given church land.
To be a financial powerhouse for the support of widows, orphans and the less privileged in the worldwide community — demonstrating God's heart for the poor.
To raise up great intercessors and history-making prayer warriors — men and women who move the hand of God through consecrated, fervent, effectual prayer.
To be a church of uncommon excellence in every area — in worship, discipleship, administration, community care and kingdom influence — reflecting the nature of our excellent God.
To be a caring and loving church to the hurting world. To win 1 billion souls for Christ through outreaches, crusades, televangelism, social media and other soul-winning ways — taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
Everything we do flows from a deep reverence for God. We honour Him in our worship, our conduct, and every decision we make as a community — Proverbs 9:10.
We are a people who live by faith — not by sight. Faith is the foundation of every miracle, every step of obedience, and every breakthrough God has given this ministry — Hebrews 11:6.
We believe the family is God's foundational institution. We invest in building strong, God-honouring marriages and homes that reflect His covenant love — Genesis 2:24.
We follow the example of Jesus, who came not to be served but to serve. True greatness in God's kingdom is expressed through a heart of humble, sacrificial service — Mark 10:45.
We are a community that walks in integrity and transparency. We hold one another accountable in love — because we are better together and iron sharpens iron — Proverbs 27:17.
We are a church of uncommon, Mega Excellence — in worship, administration, ministry, and community life. God deserves nothing less than our very best — Colossians 3:23.
Above all, we are a house of love. Love for God, love for people, and love for the lost is the heartbeat of everything we do. We are committed to being a caring, warm, and welcoming family — 1 Corinthians 13:13.
